Application for the Official Language Proficiency Test for the Public Servants

Applications are hereby invited from Public and Provincial Public servants for the following examinations which will be conducted on 27.09.2008 on the basis of the Language proficiency requirements mentioned in the Public Administration Circulars Nos. 3/2007 and 7/2007.

The Department of Official Languages at present functions as a facilitator for the effective implementation of the language policy as enshrined in the articles 18 and 19 – Chapter IV of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (1978) that recognizes Sinhala and Tamil as national languages and English as the link language.
